Only one event may of caused this to happen and that was when I installed an SSD. Monitor plugged in through HDMI was working fine but the display port monitor was not getting a signal. No available adapter allows you to convert HDMI to VGA or vice versa.
So I switched it to display port and suddenly my computer would not recognize anything was plugged in. If you have an Alienware laptop, get the most out of your frag-fest gaming by. I'm pretty sure it might be the port itself but I haven't given up yet! I stupidly plugged both monitors in through HDMI on the 2080 and they both worked no problem, however, one of my monitors is a VG248qe which was not registering 144hz through HDMI. I've tried a fresh install of Windows, switching the HDMI cable, downloading new drivers and even downgraded to drivers that Dell recommend. I've kinda giving up with Google searching and decided it was time to give this forum a try ^_^.Īnyway, my HDMI out seems to have vanished, no TV nor monitor seems to pick it up. I tried to contact Dell support about it and they said it was an issue about my windows 8.1, so I installed windows. Sorry if this is in the wrong area but it seemed to be the most suited (from where I looked :P) but I have ran into a problem that has been driving me nuts for the past couple of months. Hi guys,I am new in this forum, I am sorry if I am breaking any rule with this post, but I am having this issue and is pissing me off.
